Product Description

   As a food preservative, calcium propionate is mainly used in bread because sodium propionate increases the ph of bread and delays the fermentation of bread. Sodium propionate is used in pastry because pastry is leavened with a synthetic leavening agent,
without the yeast development problems caused by pH rise.
